Palit radeon hd 4850 special edition

Overall Review: This is an incredible card, the best i have ever owned. I've never owned a PALiT card before, and what a great brand it is. Buy PALiT! Pros: This card is shorter than your average and dual slot for extra cooling. I play WAR on a 24 inch and have everything at high settings and it's smooth as silk. Card not as loud as the others say imho. I have it inside an Antec case which is pretty much solid steel, so maybe that's why I don't notice any nose. Temps are lower than those posted for stock I'd buy from Palit again, they have a good reputation and of course newegg's reputation speaks for itself.

Cons: The dual slot fan is so huge, I had to move my XiFi sound card to the bottom PCI slot so that the heatsink on the would not touch the soundcard. Overall Review: Hmmmm Max total system power draw went from about while playing Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance to about watts. Power draw was measured by using APC Powerchute running on second computer. Watt numbers above are total draw above the baseline , i.

Cons: Very minor point: the XPS has a piece of hinged plastic that is meant to support the end of the supplied video card. The 's heat sink partially blocks this piece of plastic from engaging the card fully. Notched the plastic a little bit and all's good. Even without notching the plastic, it didn't keep the case from closing or anything like that.

Overall Review: Card plays WoW very well as expected with frame rates limited by game environment. Shatt runs anywhere from low 30's to low 50's, depending on what going on.

Southshore PvPing runs in the 50's with players total. Both of these are far far better than my old GS, which got difficult to play with just 10 players in Southshore. Haven't checked larger instances yet. Card also plays Supreme Commander very well. Cranked everything up to max except AA was set to 4 , and framerates were perfectly smooth until about 75 or so units were battling onscreen. Saw some framerate reduction at that point, but the game was still very playable, just not 60fps smooth. Sold by: Newegg Shipped by Newegg.

This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked. Out of Stock. Meaning it must be very efficient, and colder running than the reference design. Or, it is a design flaw, and the cards will be dropping like flies Sometimes it is cheaper to have more active elements, then a huge heatsink.

I Have both :D Oh, I bet! Which brand is better? Duffman aren't they the same? Should be, but you never know That's how I'm going at it. Cold Storm Oh, I bet! Difficult to say really, I would suggest that the build quality and component quality are very similar, I am guessing that in Europe Xpertvision is the budget brand and I have only owned one of their cards but in my experience Gainward and it's parent company palit come out top dogs.

I have also had really good expereinces with MSI and Inno3D cards as far as overclocking goes but taking the whole package into consideration my money would go with either Gainward or palit, of course, in the UK Can it tame the twin RV cores?

Read on to find out! We have a look at the card and subject it to the Crysis Crunch to find out if the Multi-Core cooling solution is up to the task. Login Register. And that's exactly what we were thinking when Palit's latest Radeon HD turned up on our doorstep; at least, until we opened the box and started looking a little closer.

PREY Prey is something you don t often see anymore: a totally unigue shooter experience. HD and performance. DATE: Please Feel Free to write any Comment; Thanks.

Even current ATI cards get a good score in 3dmark in relation to geforce offerings, but they can fall short in some games specially if AA is enabled.
